1mm Max Laminating Thickness A3 Pouch Laminator for Photos/Documents/Prints
This A3 pouch laminator supports a max laminating thickness of 1mm, which works for most lamination works, such as photos, documents, and prints.
Unlike some traditional pouch laminators that use pointer thermometers that require readings, the LCD display intuitively displays the set temperature and the actual temperature of the machine's rubber rollers, which makes the pouch laminator more friendly to the end-user.
This machine uses a single-chip microcomputer to intelligently control the temperature, and the temperature sensor uses a high-precision and high-sensitivity thermistor, which ensures more accurate temperature control.

What Is Pouch Laminator?
Pouch laminators are essentially machines that contain and employ a source of heat and pressure. With that heat and pressure, sheets of plastic lined with a hot-melt adhesive are warmed to a temperature that allows them to bond together and essentially encases the documents that have been placed inside the sheets (such as business cards, ID badges, instruction sheets, etc.) in a clear and hard plastic that both enhances the colors of the document, and protects it from everyday wear and tear. For cold lamination, which is mainly used for laminating documents like photos that may be heat sensitive, we need to adopt a pouch laminator that supports cold lamination.
The pouches laminator uses a series of rollers (little wheels made of hard rubber) to move the document through the machine. On lower-end machines, you will find as few as two rollers and on the better machines, you’ll find that there are as many as six. It is probably true that the more rollers there are, the better your finished product will look, as the rollers can keep the documents from bubbling or wrinkling.
Pouch laminators come in all sorts of sizes and capabilities:
The most common size pouch laminator is usually between 4" and 13" although machines up to 34" are available.
For example, there are 2 models of our A2 pouch laminator, one supports temperature adjustment and speed adjustment, while another one only supports temperature adjustment, welcome to contact PNP Film for selecting the suitable pouch laminator for your project.
Where Is Pouch Laminator Used?
Pouch laminators are designed for moderate use in the office or home. For continuous, large-volume lamination projects, a roll laminator performs more efficiently.
Pouch laminator is mostly used in the heat lamination process, which can be used for laminating of documents, photos, menus, etc. Some pouch laminators also support the cold lamination process, which is mainly used for laminating documents like special photos that are heat sensitive.
How to Use Pouch Laminator?
Pouch laminators receive that name because they use pre-made pouches to encase documents. The pouch containing the print, laminate, and the substrate is passed through a set of rollers under suitable speed and pressure, ensuring that all adhesive layers bond to one another.
In order to laminate a document, you simply place it inside the pouch and run it through the machine, the heat-activated adhesive would stick to the product you are laminating.
Once the document is through the machine, you may have to trim the edges to get the look you are after. Simply wait until the document has cooled a little bit to keep from marring the surface of the laminate.
Some pouch laminators require the use of a carrier(a card-stock-like cover, may come with your pouches). A carrier holds the pouch as it is run through the laminator. This helps prevent the hot glue, some of which leaks from the sides of the pouches during the process, from gumming up the rollers. The carrier prevents the rollers from getting sticky, which helps to prevent the lamination pouch from wrapping around the rollers inside the laminator.
Compared with a pouch laminator that doesn't use a carrier, a pouch laminator that is used with a carrier can extend the laminator's life.
