48 micron(equal to 1.9 mil) is a popular thickness for PET protective film. It takes 38 microns of transparent PET polyester film as the base film and then coating with about 10-micron acrylic adhesive on the inner side.

PET plastic protective film has features such as excellent light transmittance, great mechanical properties, and stable dimension. With a low adhesion, it is easy to tear off and leaves no residual glue after tearing, which makes it an ideal protective film for die-cutting processing protection, such as the  CNC processing process of electronic product shells, hot-pressing processing process of the aluminum battery, etc.
